Front of Folder
1. Glue on coupons: Use with child for early reading and picture awareness (you can also use pictures from a magazine to build "early reading" skills
2. Glue on foil piece.  Let your child paint on it with washable paint and a Q-tip after the whole folder is completely made.
Inside of Folder-Left side
1. Glue on clothespin.  Let dry completely before your child tries to "pinch" and use their fingers to open and close it.  This skill builds fine-motor skills in their fingers.  Using the balloons and hair bands, have your child match same colors, and push the clothespin open to put the hair band and balloon in it.
2. Draw 5 circles at the bottom of the page.  Have your child build fine-motor skills to peel off the circle stickers and place them inside of the circles, counting from 1-5 and building one-to-one correspondance.  These are both early math skills every child needs to know by Kindergarten.
3. Glue on the envelope.  Have your child practice skills such as counting straws #1-5.  For older children, have them practice up to #1-10 counting straws.  Have them put the straws IN the pocket.
Inside of Folder-Right side
1. Cut the playing cards in half.  For older children, cut them in zip zags or diagonals for more of a challenge.
2. Glue one of the halves of the same playing card on the folder.  Hold onto the other half.  Have your child put the "puzzle" matching pieces together building the cards.
3.  You can even use a whole folder to make "puzzle card games" with differnet matches, cuts, and harder challenges.
4. This activity is for building math skills, putting puzzles together and completing matching pictures.
Back of Folder
1. Put a piece of clear tape across the top backside of the folder.  Have your child take the marker and practice drawing straight lines, tracing it.  Model how to "trace" using your finger to show them first before they do with marker.
2. Draw the four shapes with a highlighter: Circle, square, triangle, heart.  Have your child trace them and tell you what each of the shapes are.
3. Write your child's name out in highlighter. Have child trace the letters and say them one at the same time spelling their name out.
4. On the white sticker dot labels, write the same shapes and your child's name on them.  Have them build fine-motor skills and matching skills by peeling them and putting them on the correct match where they belong.
